Cuttack: In order to fight COVID-19 pandemic, Cuttack police have imposed hefty fines on 337 persons for violating social distancing norms and 159 persons for not wearing the mandatory masks, Cuttack Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Akhileshvar Singh tweeted on Sunday.
Cuttack being another hotspot for COVID-19, the government has made it mandatory for all citizens to wear masks and cover nose and mouth while coming out of their houses for any purpose. The rules are strictly enforced in various parts of the district.

To combat the deadly coronavirus, the police officials are trying their best to make people understand the importance of the COVID norms, but some still continue to flout rules.
