Bhubaneswar: Eleven more patients succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 616 on Saturday.
The new deaths included three from Cuttack district and two from Bhubaneswar.
The Health Department identified the deceased as:
1. A 30-year-old male from Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.
2. An 82-year-old male from Bhubaneswar.
3. A 70-year-old male from Balangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
4. A 66-year-old female from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Hypertension, Hypothyroidism and Bronchial Asthma.
5. An 88-year-old male from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
6. A 45-year-old male from Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
7. A 48-year-old male from Jajpur district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
8. A 64-year-old female from Kandhamal district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
9. A 75-year-old male of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from Pancytopenia.
10. A 56-year-old male from Nayagarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
11. A 63-year-old male from Rayagada district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
With these 11 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 212 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 88 in Khurda, 46 in Cuttack, 38 in Sundargarh, 31 in Rayagada, 20 in Puri and 18 each in Gajapati and Nayagarh, 16 in Sambalpur, 15 in Balasore, 12 in Kandhamal, 10 each in Bargarh and Balangir, nine in Bhadrak, eight each in Koraput and Keonjhar, seven each in Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur, four each in Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi and Angul, three in Kendrapada, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and one in Jharsuguda.
