Cuttack Reports Three More Deaths, Odisha COVID-19 Toll Nears 600
Bhubaneswar: Another 11 more patients succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha in the last 24 hours, taking the toll to 591 on Thursday.
The Health Department identified the deceased as:
1. A 51-year-old male of Bhadrak district.
2. A 70-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension.
3. A 57-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from hypertension.
4. An 80-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension, parkinsonism, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic kidney disease.
5. A 49-year-old male of Cuttack district.
6. A 75-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
7. A 71-year-old male of Koraput district who was also suffering from diabetes.
8. A 49-year-old male of Cuttack district.
9. A 75-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
10. A 71-year-old male of Koraput district who was also suffering from diabetes.
11. A 65-year-old male of Rayagada district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
With these 11 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 212 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 81 in Khurda, 42 in Cuttack, 38 in Sundargarh, 30 in Rayagada, 18 in Gajapati, 17 each in Puri and Nayagarh, 15 each in Sambalpur and Balasore, 11 in Kandhamal, 10 in Bargarh, nine each in Bhadrak and Balangir, seven each in Malkangiri, Koraput and Keonjhar, six in Jajpur, five in Mayurbhanj, four each in Jagatsinghpur, and Angul, three each in Kendrapada and Kalahandi, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Nabarangpur and one in Jharsuguda.
