Cuttack: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly picked Barabati Stadium in Cuttack as one of the tentative venues for India vs South Africa T20Is in December.
Cuttack, Nagpur, Dharmshala, Lucknow and Ahmedabad are expected to host the matches on December 9, 11, 14, 17 and 19.
While India-England ODI brought international cricket to Cuttack after five long years in February this year, Barabati Stadium had last hosted a T20I between India and South Africa on June 12, 2022, which the latter had won by 4 wickets.
The Proteas will tour India for a long white-ball series, including three ODIs, and five T20Is, beginning late November. Ranchi, Raipur and Visakhapatnam are likely venues for the ODIs on November 30, December 3 and 6 respectively. The ODI series will be followed by a T20I series, according to TOI.
India will also host the West Indies cricket team at the end of this year for a red-ball series, which will be a part of the World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle. Mohali (1st) and Kolkata (2nd) are set to host the two Tests against West Indies. While dates of the Mohali Test are yet to be decided, the Eden Gardens is expected to host the Caribbean from October 10 to 14, the report added.
