Bhubaneswar: The public grievance hearing, Jan Abhiyog Shunani, of Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, which was scheduled to be held on Monday, October 26 has been postponed.
According to an official notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, the decision was taken in view of the potential cyclonic weather situation. The hearing was planned to take place at the former Government Primary School premises (near Capital Nursery) in Unit-2, Ashok Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
It further noted that people, who had already registered online to meet the Chief Minister for this session, need not register again for the upcoming dates. The date and venue for the next public grievance hearing will be formally notified through newspapers and various media outlets.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a well-marked low-pressure area over the east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is projected to intensify into a depression, deepen further into a deep depression, and turn into a cyclonic storm. The system, to be named Arnab, is expected to track west-northwestwards and reach near north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts around October 28, bringing severe squally winds reaching up to 70-90 kmph alongside heavy to very heavy rainfall across southern and coastal districts.
