Bhubaneswar: With the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani moving towards the Odisha coast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded red and orange and yellow alert for south, east and north coastal districts and the adjoining area.

May 3: Red alert for Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
May 3: Yellow warning for Boudh, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Sundargarh districts.
May 4: Red alert for Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
