Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway has cancelled 42 trains, rescheduled eight, diverted two and short-terminated five In view of the approaching Cyclone ‘Montha’.
Among other important trains, 11020 Konark Express for October 28 has been cancelled.

1. 18005 Howrah- Jagdalpur Samaleswari express leaving Howrah on 27.10.2025 will be short terminated at Rayagada and will return as 18006 from Rayagada to Howrah on 28.10.2025. Hence there will be no service of this train between Rayagada and Jagadalpur on 28.10.2025.
2. 18448 Hirakhand express will start from Rayagada to Bhubaneswar instead of Jagdalpur on 28.10.2025. Hence there will be no service of this train between Rayagada and Jagadalpur on 28.10.2025
3. 18108 Intercity express will start from Rayagada to Rourkela on 28.10.2025 instead of Jagdalpur. Hence there will no service of this train between Rayagada and Jagadalpur on 29.10.2025.
The ECoR said that this decision has been taken purely as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and railway property. “Passengers are advised to check the latest train status before commencing their journey and to avoid unnecessary travel during the cyclone period,” it added.
The Khurda Road Division has also opened helpdesks at Palasa, Khurda Road and Bhubaneswar, while Waltair Division has established helpdesks at Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Duvvada and at Rayagada.
