Bhubaneswar: Revenue and disaster management minister Maheswar Mohanty on Monday asked the collectors of Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balaore districts to remain vigilant in view of the possible cyclonic storm ‘Mora’.
According to India Meteorological Department, Bhubaneswar centre, the system formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm in the next 12 hours. The cyclonic storm is likely to make a landfall near Chittagong in Bangladesh. Under its influence, several coastal areas and some places of interior Odisha may experience rain and thundershower during the next 24 hours, the Met department added.
