Cyclone Titli: IndiGo Cancels Five Flights

Bhubaneswar: In view of the very severe cyclonic storm Titli, which will hit the Odisha coast early on Thursday morning, IndiGo airline has cancelled five flights to and from Bhubaneswar.

Sources at the Biju Patnaik International Airport said that two flights from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi, at 1.30 am and 5.15 am, Bhubaneswar-Kolkata flight at 5.25 am, Bhubaneswar-Bengaluru flight at 6.40 am and Bhubaneswar-Mumbai flight at 8.50 am have been cancelled for Thursday.

Besides, all IndiGo flights to Bhubaneswar from these destinations have also been cancelled for the day.

Informing the media, director of the Biju Patnaik International Airport, Suresh Chandra Hota, said since there will be storm and rain in Bhubaneswar, no IndiGo flight would remain parked on Wednesday night at the Airport.

A senior official of the airport said as the visibility will be poor during torrential rain and strong winds, more flights may be cancelled depending on the weather condition.
