Cyclone Yaas: Top Odisha Cops To Guide Local Police In Five Coastal Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday deputed five senior IPS officers to assist and guide local police in five coastal districts to face the challenges arising out of the very severe cyclonic storm Yaas.

The Home Department has directed has the following five IPS officers to immediately proceed to their respective districts assigned to them:.

Jai Narayan Pankaj (DIG, Special Task Force with the additional charge of DIG, EOW): Kendrapada
Amitabh Thakur (IG, Operations): Jagatsinghpur
Amitendra Nath Sinha (IG, CID, Crime Branch): Bhadrak
Diptesh Kumar Pattanayak (IG, Eastern Range): Balasore
Anirudh Kumar Singh (DIG, Special Intelligence Wing): Mayurbhanj
