Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely to lash several districts of Odisha from October 2 as a cyclonic circulation is likely to form in northeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
According to the midday bulletin, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri districts are likely to experience thunderstorm with lightning till tomorrow morning and Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Koraput and Malkangiri are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the same duration.
A yellow warning for heavy rainfall has been sounded till October 5. Meanwhile, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri on October 4.
