Bhubaneswar: Some parts of South and interior Odisha are most likely to receive light to moderate rainfall in the next 12 hours, said a release by the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, on Monday.
“A cyclonic circulation has formed at 1.5 km above the mean sea level over eastern parts of Vidarbha and neighbourhood while a trough line runs from the southeast Uttar Pradesh to south Chhattisgarh at 1.5 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, some parts of south and western Odisha are most likely to receive light to moderate rainfall in the next 12 hours while moderate rainfall is likely at one or two places in the north Odisha districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore in the next 36 hours,” senior meteorologist P Nath told the media here.
There is a possibility of a drastic fall in the night temperature by 3-4 degree Celsius in most parts of the state in the subsequent 72 hours till February 1, he added.
