Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over north Andaman Sea & neighbourhood has moved to Eastcentral & adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal and may trigger heavy rain in Odisha from September 18-22, the India Meteorological Department informed in its morning bulletin on Monday.
According to IMD’s Sunday bulletin, heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Dhenkanal on September 18. Yellow warning of thunderstorm with lightning has also been issued for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
On September 19, heavy rain may lash one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati,Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri. There is also thunderstorm with lightning warning for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri.
On September 20, yellow warning of heavy rainfall has been sounded for one or two places in Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Cuttack.
Heavy rainfall may continue at one or two places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts during the subsequent 24 hours, it added.
