Bhubaneswar: The regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Tuesday predicted heavy rainfall for Odisha during the next 24 hours.
According to a Met bulletin issued in this regard, the cyclonic circulation over north Odisha and neighbourhood now lies over northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts.
Under this impact, many places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Ganjam districts are most likely to witness heavy rainfall during the next 24 hours, the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, several districts of the state have received moderate to heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours.
