Cuttack: Chauliaganj Police in Cuttack on Thursday arrested the principal associate and sharp shooter of Dhal Samant brothers.
The accused identified as Ashish Behera alias Kanoli, is a hardcore criminal who was working for the Dhal Samant brothers on pay roll. Behera was also getting a major share from the extortion money.

According to police sources, Behera was using arms and ammunition for
commission of crime and supplying the same to the associates of D-brothers for the purpose of tender fixing, extortion and
Balighat lease process. He was a leading member of Cuttack Nagar Yuvak
Sangha.

During investigation, the police came to
know that the Sushant and Sushil Dhal Samant were
collecting huge amount of money by means of extortion and tender
fixing with different establishments, works and illegal mining with

the help of Ashish and other associates. A number of forged
documents were prepared by the accused persons for their illegal, anti-social and criminal
activities.
