Puri: Vigilance sleuths on Friday conducted simultaneous raids in a disproportionate assets case against a Revenue Inspector in Puri district.
The accused, Basanta Kumar Mohanty, is the Revenue Inspector of Balukhanda RI circle in Puri.
According to sources, Vigilance teams raided Mohanty’s official chamber at the Balkhanda RI office, his house at Friends Colony, a three-storey building at Kumuti Lane and a two-storey building at Penthakata in Puri.
The anti-corruption sleuths also raided a house at Mohanty’s native Rajnagar in Kendrapada district, a relative’s house at Balighat in Puri district, a relative’s house at Friends Colony and the house of an associate at Penthakata in Puri.
The exact amount of disproportionate wealth is yet to be ascertained, the sources added.
