Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 caseload dropped further in the city with 31 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, which took the total to 30563 on Wednesday.
The Odisha capital had seen 34 new infections the previous day after reporting less than 50 cases for four consecutive days.
According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 23 of the new cases are local contacts and 8 from quarantine.
The city also one COVID-19 death and 55 more patients getting cured of the infection.
With 210 deaths and 29821 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 511 active cases.
