Bhubaneswar: A day after a spike in COVID-19 positive cases, the Capital City witnessed a climbdown as 38 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours against 71 patients on Saturday.
Of the new cases, 25 were local contacts and 13 from quarantine centres, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) tweeted. As many as patients recovered from the disease during the period.
Among the local contacts, maximum 4 cases were reported from Nayapalli like yesterday. Three cases each were from Laxmisagar, Rasulgarh and Saheed Nagar.
The city has 427 active cases now while the positive tally has gone up to 32,656. While 31,958 patients have recovered, 250 persons have succumbed to the disease.
