Daily COVID Caseload Cross 300 In Odisha; Khurda Continues To Be In ‘Orange Zone’
Bhubaneswar: Odisha witnessed a slight rise in daily COVID caseload with 335 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 288 new cases on Wednesday and 212 on Tuesday.
Among them, 47 are in the age group of 0-18 years, which is 14 per cent of the total cases against 18 per cent on Wednesday and 33 per cent on Thursday.
According to the I & PR department, 197 of the new infections are from quarantine and 138 local contacts. Khurda reported the highest of 141 cases, followed by Sambalpur (51) and Cuttack (21). Nine districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 62,619 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.53 per cent. The TPR was 0.50 per cent on Wednesday and 0.44 per cent on Tuesday.
While the affected tally has touched 10,48,009, Odisha now has 2,403 active cases and 45.5 per cent of these are from Khurda, which has 1092 active cases.
