Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload dropped below 3000 in Odisha after a gap of over two months on Tuesday with 2957 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
With these fresh infections being detected from 61608 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) also dipped to 4.76 per cent from 4.96 per cent the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 1698 are from quarantine and 1259 local contact cases.
Khurda reported the highest of 408 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (272) and Jajpur (260).

Odisha now has 34965 active cases with four districts in the Red Zone. The TPR in 18 districts is less than 5 per cent.
