Bhubaneswar: After three days, the daily COVID caseload in Odisha dropped below 500 on Friday as 467 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state had seen 524 new cases on Thursday, 559 on Wednesday, 556 on Tuesday and 340 on Monday.
Among them, 86 cases (18.41 per cent) are children below the age of 18 years.
While 272 are from quarantine, 195 are local contacts. Khurda district with 243 infections accounted for almost 52 per cent of the daily count. Cuttack saw 36 new cases. Seven districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 66,868 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.69 per cent.
While the COVID-19 tally has touched 1037523, Odisha now has 4,747 active cases.
