Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a further decline in the daily COVID-19 caseload on Friday as 154 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours against 173 the previous day.
The state had registered 218 COVID positive cases on Wednesday, 175 cases on Tuesday, 178 cases on Monday, 160 on Sunday, 173 on Saturday and 286 on Friday.
According to the I & PR Department, 91 of the new infections are from quarantine and 63 local contacts. Among them, 26 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 79 new cases followed by Cuttack at 20. Thirteen districts reported nil cases.

With these cases being detected from 59,733 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.25%.
While the affected tally has touched 10,52,472, Odisha now has 1,976 active cases.
