Bhubaneswar: Cuttack and Khurda accounted for 55 per cent of the daily COVID caseload in Odisha, which spiralled to 805 on Sunday after dropping to 681 the previous day.
The state had seen 719, 754 and 849 infections on September 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
According to the I & PR department, 467 of the new cases are from quarantine and 338 local contacts. Among them, 131 are in the age group of 0-18 years, which is 16.27 per cent of the new cases.
Khurda district reported the highest 346 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (98) and Mayurbhanj (37).

With these cases detected from 72412 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 1.11 per cent.
Meanwhile, seven more patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.
