Daily COVID Cases Drop In Odisha; TPR 2.67%

Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID caseload in Odisha saw a marginal fall on Wednesday as 1,927 more people tested positive for the infection in the last 24 hours.

A total of 20168 infections were reported the previous day.

According to the Health Department sources, the new cases were detected from 72061 samples sent for test. The test positivity rate (TPR) also dropped to 2.67 per cent from 2.95 per cent on Tuesday.

Among of new cases, 1115 are from quarantine while 812 are local contacts.

Khurda district reported the highest 498 new infections, followed by Cuttack (248), Jajpur (123), Balasore (111) and Puri (103).
