Daily COVID Positivity Rate Drops To 12.59% In Odisha; Khurda Leads Infection Tally Again
Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported over 8000 new COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day on Wednesday with 8,399 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
With the positives being detected from 66683 samples sent for tests, the daily positivity rate dropped to 12.59 per cent from 14.02 per cent the previous day.
According to the I & PR department, 4741 are from quarantine and 3658 local contact cases.
Khurda reported the highest of 1102 new infections followed by Cuttack (766) and Jajpur (514).

Odisha had seen 3.19 lakh cases in May. It saw the biggest single-day spike of 12,852 on May 23.
