Bhubaneswar: After reporting less than 2000 new COVID-19 cases for four days, Odisha on Friday saw a further dip in the number with 1793 people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to I & PR department, 1031 are quarantine and 762 local contact cases.
Khurda district recorded the highest 208 fresh cases followed by 160 from Cuttack and 107 from Angul. All 30 district have reported new cases.

With this, the total caseload of Odisha mounted to 2,77,887. The state has a positivity rate of 6.5 per cent with 4240241 samples being tested till Thursday.
Odisha now has 19,579 active cases with 2,57,041 patients having recovered from the infection.
