New Delhi: The due date for furnishing of the Annual returns (GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C) for the financial year 2019-20 has been further extended.
The Ministry of Finance issued a directive on Sunday stating that GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C can now be furnished by March 31, 2021. The previous deadline was February 28.

According to the ministry, the extension of date was in view of difficulties expressed by taxpayers in meeting the previous this time limit.
The decision has been taken with the approval of Election Commission of India.
