Day After Theft Of Gold Chain, 5 Sadhus Detained By Police In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: A day after some persons in the attire of sadhus allegedly stole a gold chain from a family in Bhubaneswar, police detained 5 sadhus from the city on Monday.
As per reports, the sadhus were moving around Mancheswar in the city and going to different houses in the morning. On being informed about them, a team from Commissionerate Police went to the place and brought them to Mancheswar police station.
The police also seized the vehicle used by the sadhus and were questioning them in the police station. But the police have not ascertained whether the detained sadhus are same persons who were involved in stealing the gold chain a day before.
It may be noted that six persons in the attire of Naga sadhu had gone to have breakfast in the house of Pranakrushna Padhiary in Raghunathpur village under Nandankanan poice limits on Sunday morning. After they left the house, Padhiary found that the gold chain of his son Rakesh worth over Rs 2 lakh was missing and had filed a police complaint.
