Bhubaneswar: The state government has extended the last date for submission of inputs for preparation of the vision document for Viksit Odisha@2036 from November 20 to December 5.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting presided over by Development Commissioner Anu Garg to allow the stakeholders to make the submission on the proposed document to make it more broad-based and inclusive. The government has so far received inputs from around 20,000 individuals, organisations & different government and private agencies, and is expecting more than 1 lakh opinions and proposals, official sources said.
Massive public outreach programmes are also being planned to facilitate it. There will be an open discussion for preparation of the document after receiving the proposals, Garg said.
On Sunday, Chief executive officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog BVR Subrahmanyam reviewed the progress of preparation of the vision document, which he said will outline the requirements and reforms needed to make Odisha a developed economy. Chief secretary Manoj Ahuja had said the vision document should be carefully prepared, keeping in mind the future challenges and needs.
In September, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi said that it will be an aspiration document of the people, by the people and for the people. He unveiled the logo and portal https://vision.odisha.gov.in for the state’s vision document on October 30 to seek opinion of the people in this regard.
