Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has already decided to reopen schools for classes X and XII from July 26. Now higher education department and the skill development and technical education department are gearing up to take a call on reopening of degree colleges and universities.
“A meeting will be conducted within two days to discuss reopening of degree colleges and universities,” Higher education minister Arun Kumar Sahoo was quoted as saying by The Times of India. Sahoo said that discussions are on with the stakeholders.
A meeting will also be convened by the skill development and technical education department to take the final call on the matter.
The department reopened the higher educational institutions on January 11, three days after schools began for classes X and XII.
