Ganjam: Chhatrapur sub-collector Priya Ranjan Prusty on Tuesday visited Taratarini Kalyan Mandap to assess the status of a special COVID hospital coming up at Purushottampur in Ganjam district.
Steps have been taken to convert the newly-constructed mandap near the revenue inspector’s office into a hospital to treat corona patients.
Tehsildar Arun Kumar Nayak and NAC executive officer A K Nageshwar held a discussion regarding the completion of COVID hospital.
“All additional works will be completed at the earliest and the hospital will be made operational soon,” Prusty said.
The dedicated hospital will have 10 beds, 24-hour diagnostics, pharmacy, and other amenities. Doctors, nurses, and other staff will be posted to provide 24-hour patient care. Besides, it will have a healthcare centre and isolation facility to treat patients detected in this area.
