Mumbai: Something exciting is cooking in Bolly diva Deepika Padukone’s life. All her fans will finally get to see her in a new avatar soon.
According to sources, she has signed a superhero film inspired by Hollywood’s ‘Wonder Woman’. This movie by DC comics did fabulously well at the box office and the craze hasn’t yet faded away.
The development of the film has been kept under wraps with Deepika reportedly holding meeting quite secretly with the creative team. As of now, the movie seems to be in the conceptual stage while the script being worked on.
The project is expected to be launched in 2019 and around Rs 300 crores spent on its making, sources added.
Deepika was last seen in blockbuster movie ‘Padmaavat’, also starring Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
She had the international media talking with her red carpet looks at Cannes Film Festival earlier this month. She was also a part of international film ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, opposite Vin Deisel. This movie is about a former xXx operative who is forced to return to active service to find and retrieve Pandora’s Box, a satellite controlling device, stolen from the CIA’s office in New York.
