Puri: The grand chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra reached Simha Dwara on Monday after seven-day stay at Gundicha Temple in Puri.
Taladhwaja of Lord Balabhadra was first pulled by the devotees around 2:08 pm, an hour before the scheduled time, followed by Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalan and Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosh.
The Bahuda Yatra of the deities was witnessed by lakhs of devotees.
Hundreds of police and security personnel were deployed in the pilgrim town to ensure smooth conduct of the festival.
