Delhi Court Grants Bail To Lalu Prasad Yadav, Sons In Land-For-Jobs Case

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar chief minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his sons, RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav, in the land-for-jobs case.

The bail was granted by special judge, Vishal Gogne, on bonds of Rs 1 lakh each. The judge also noted that they were not arrested during the investigation of the case, PTI reported.

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court directed all three accused to surrender their passports, according to reports.

Lalu Prasad Yadav was accused of recruiting people for Group-D jobs in the West Central Zone of the railways, based in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, during his term as railway minister between 2004 and 2009, on the condition that they gift or transfer parcels of lands in either his name of in the name of his family or associates.
