New Delhi: A 34-year-old doctor in the capital’s Harsh Vihar area, identified as Noorul Hassan not only allegedly sexually assaulted a 34-year-old nurse but also recorded her nude videos and extorted Rs 7 lakh from her. The accused was apprehended from Faizabad in UP.
Police said they received the woman’s complaint on June 13. She has claimed that she used to work with Hassan at a nursing home in Sunder Nagri. The woman is separated from her husband and has two daughters, Times of India quoted the police as saying. “She told us that in August 2021 Hassan raped her and made a nude video. He began blackmailing her and also extorted Rs 7 lakh from her. He allegedly claimed that he would delete the video after receiving the money but he kept blackmailing her. Finally, the woman filed a complaint, an officer said.
Based on her complaint, a case under IPC sections 376 (punishment for rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc., with intent to commit an offence) was registered at Nand Nagri police station.
