Delhi Teen Stabbed Multiple Times & Bludgeoned To Death For Ending Relationship: Reports
New Delhi: Twenty-year-old Sahil Khan, who allegedly killed his 16-year-old girlfriend by stabbing her more two dozen times and then battering her with a concrete slab, was reportedly upset with the minor as she wanted to end the relationship, Indian Express reported citing Delhi Police sources.
She had 34 injury marks on her body and her skull was smashed.
The incident, which took on a crowded lane in Rohini’s Shahbad Dairy area while the girl was going to attend the birthday party of a friend’s son, was captured on CCTV camera and Sahil was arrested from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Sahil, who used to work as an AC and refrigerator mechanic in the area, told police that he killed the girl in a fit of rage since she had been ignoring him, reports said.
He had a fight with Sakshi a day before killing her. He used a long knife during the assault. The Delhi Police, however, are yet to recover the murder weapon. Interrogation of Sahil and the minor’s family is on to ascertain the sequence of events leading to the fight and murder on Sunday.
“The statements made by him are being verified since it is the initial stage of investigation. Sometimes he says she ignored him as he tried to approach her, which angered him. But he also suspected her getting involved with her former boyfriend,” PTI quoted an officer as saying. Sahil also told police that he had bought the knife about 15 days ago from a weekly market.
While an FIR has been registered against Sahil under Section 302 of the IPC, police are investigating whether or not the murder was a “passion killing” or premeditated crime, the sources said.
Reports further said that he wore kalava, a sacred Hindu thread, on his wrist to mislead police.
The accused was produced at a Delhi court here, which sent him to a two-day police remand, reports added.
