Delivery Boy Hospitalised After Scuffle With Mobile Phone Snatchers In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Snatching cases in the Odisha capital is on the rise as another incident took place in the city on Wednesday night when a delivery boy sustained grievous injuries after he fought with two miscreants who snatched his mobile phone.

According to sources, delivery boy Subhakant Nath was on the way to his house on his bike after delivering food items in Palasuni area under Mancheswar police limits. Two bike-borne miscreants followed him on a Pulsar bike and snatched his mobile phone from his back pocket. As Subhakant chased and came near their bike, one of the miscreants kicked his bike. As a result, he fell off his bike and sustained head injuries.

His family members rushed him to the Capital Hospital. However, the hospital authorities referred him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack where his condition is stated to be critical.

Police have registered a case and started an investigation after examining the CCTV footage.
