New Delhi: A Delhi woman gave birth to a baby boy inside the police van which was taking her to the hospital.
Mini Kumar and her family members, who reside in west Delhi’s Khyala area, rushed to the nearest police station as the pregnant lady developed sharp labour pain.
Lady constable Suman was on duty and she arranged for a police van to transport the family to the hospital.
“The family requested the constable to seek an ambulance for the woman. The constable informed her seniors and a police van was sent,” Informed DCP (West) Deepak Purohit.
Before they could reach the hospital, Mini delivered the baby inside the police van at 9.30 pm on Thursday.
