Sundargarh: As many as 49 people were affected with dengue at Khatkurbahal village in Sundergarh district till Wednesday.
Besides, one case each of the vector-borne disease was reported from Sundergarh and Birmitrapur towns, triggering fears of the spread of dengue in the district.
Of the 49 patients at Khatkurbahal, 43 were admitted to Sundergarh district headquarters hospital. Some patients were shifted to SCB Medical College in Cuttack and some to hospitals in Bhubaneswar.
