Bhubaneswar: Coastal and interior Odisha are likely to wake up to a thick blanket of fog for the next two days.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department IMD), Bhubaneswar, has issued dense fog alert for 18 districts on Thursday (November 28).
Isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Gajapati and Ganjam districts may witness dense fog, it said, adding that the minimum temperature in the state is unlikely to drop till December 1.
It had earlier predicted foggy days for Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal and Sonepur on Wednesday.
With the dry spell continuing, there has been little drop in the night temperature. Only Daringbadi, Sundargarh, Phulbani, Koraput, Titlagarh, Sonepur and Angul in Odisha recoded a minimum temperature below 15 degree Celsius on Wednesday.
