Bhubaneswar: One or two places in Kandhamal district witnessed dense fog even as Odisha saw an appreciable rise in minimum temperature in the last 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department said on Sunday.
According to the mid-day bulletin, the highest maximum temperature of 36 degree Celsius was recorded at Paralakhemundi and the lowest of 14.80 degree Celsius at Sonepur.
“The low-pressure area over Northeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal with the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level persists. It is likely to move towards Bangladesh coast during next 48 hours,” it further said.
Dry weather is very likely to prevail in the districts of Odisha till 8.30 am of November 6, it added.
