Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is likely to blanket several parts of Odisha for three days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Saturday.
Dense fog warning has been issued for one or two places in Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Angul till January 26 morning.
The weather agency further warned of thick blanket of fog at one or two places in Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Sundargarh till January 28 morning.
Shallow to moderate fog may also occur during early morning hours at a few places in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati and at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhargarh, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul, Koraput, Nuapada, Jharsuguda from January 25 to January 28 morning.
There will be no large change in the night temperature during the next 4-5 days, it added.
In the last 24 hours, G Udayagiri, the hill station in Kandhamal, was the coldest in the state at 9.4 degree Celsius followed by Semiliguga in Koraput (10.5), Phulbani (11.5), Daringbadi (13) and Koraput (13.5). The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 17.6 and 18 degree Celsius respectively.
Dense fog also engulfed Angul, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh this morning.
