Bhubaneswar: Amid the gradual rise in night temperature across Odisha, a thick blanket of fog enveloped several places, including Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Balangir, and Phulbani, on Sunday morning.
The India Meteorological Department has issued dense fog warning for another three days. Light rain will also occur at several places in the state till January 25.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog may occur at one or two places in Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Bhadrak, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Balangir.
Shallow to moderate fog is also likely at a few places in North Odisha and at one or two places in the districts of South Odisha.
Light rain is also expected at one or two places in North Odisha, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, and Nayagarh.

Shallow to moderate fog may occur at a few places in South Coastal Odisha and at one or two places in remaining districts of the state.
Light rain and thundershowers is also likely at one or two places in districts of Coastal Odisha.

Light to Moderate rain\thundershower may occur at one or two places in North Coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, and Dhenkanal.

Dry weather will prevail across the state thereafter. The weather agency has also forecast no large change in the night temperature during the next 4-5 days. The mercury is likely to hover around 20-21 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar, which recorded 19.1 degree Celsius, and 18-19 degree Celsius in Cuttack, which recorded 17 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Koraput was the coldest in the state at 10 degree Celsius followed by Semiliguda, also in Koraput district, at 12 degree Celsius, Kirei and Sundargarh at 12.6 and 13.5 degree Celsius, respectively. The night temperature may rise to 11-12 degree Celsius in Koraput during next 5 days, it added.
