Bhubaneswar: While dense fog in most parts of coastal Odisha drastically came down on Thursday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain and thundershower in some interior south and western districts in the next two days.
Talking to mediapersons here on Thursday, director, Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Dr HR Biswas said that barring some parts in the north Odisha districts, the intensity of fog has fallen drastically. “Following the recession of fog, no warning has been issued by the IMD,” he added.
He, however, said that there is a possibility of rain and thundershower at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh and Koraput districts on January 26 and 27 followed by light rainfall at some parts of interior districts on January 27 and 28.
The weather in the remaining areas of the state will remain dry.
