Bhubaneswar: Dense fog disrupted vehicular traffic in nine districts of Odisha on Sunday morning.
According to reports, several vehicles were stranded on roads in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sonepur, Angul and Boudh districts due to poor visibility.
In its morning bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow warning for dense fog in the four interior districts of Angul, Sonepur, Boudh and Nayagarh in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the intense cold wave condition continued in most parts of the interior districts with Sonepur emerging as the coldest place with 7.6°C. Also, the night temperature fell below 10°C in Phulbani (8.3) and Daringbadi (9) in Kandhamal district.
Besides, the mercury remained at 15°C or below in Angul (10), Baripada (13.4), Jharsuguda (13), Keonjhar (12.4), Sambalpur (13.7), Sundargarh (12), Hirakud (13.6), Talcher (11.9), Bhawanipatna (10.2), Balangir (12.8), Koraput (11.6), Titlagarh (14), Malkangiri (15) and Boudh (15).
