Dense Fog Shuts Similipal Park In Odisha For Two Days; Mercury Dips Below 10°C At Daringbadi
Bhubaneswar: The Similipal National Park has been shut for visitors for two days — December 31 and January 1 — because of dense fog.
According to officials, tourists already staying inside the park have been allowed to continue their stay. People who have made advance bookings will also be allowed to enter the park on these two days. But no new reservations will be accepted for this period, they said.
Daringbadi was the coldest place in the state on Friday night, recording a minimum temperature of 9.5 degrees Celsius. Other places that recorded low night temperatures are Jharsuguda (13.8), Keonjhar (13.8), Chandbali (14.9), Titlagarh (12.8), Phulbani (11.5) and Koraput (14).
