Bhubaneswar: While Odisha will continue to experience dry weather, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued yellow warning for dense fog at some places in 11 districts of the state in the next two days.
Till 8.30 am on Jan 14
Dense fog is likely to prevail at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Khurda, Nayagarh and Kandhamal.
Shallow to moderate fog is also likely at a few places in coastal Odisha and Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Kandhamal.
Between 8.30 am on Jan 14 and 8.30 am on Jan 15
Dense fog is likely at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal.
Shallow to moderate fog may occur at a few places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur and Keonjhar.
The MeT has also forecast shallow to moderate fog at one or two places in Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Keonjhar during the subsequent 24 hours.
It further said that there will be no large change in the night temperature during the next five days.
The last 24 hours saw G Udayagiri in Kandhamal recording the lowest minimum temperature of 5.5 degree Celsius, followed by 8 degree Celsius in Semiliguda in Koraput and 8.5 degree Celsius at Phulbani in Kandhamal.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 16.3 degree Celsius and 17 degree Celsius respectively.
