Bhubaneswar: Amid the prevailing dry weather conditions, thick blanket of fog will continue to engulf Odisha for another two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) informed on Wednesday.
The weather agency has issued yellow warning till 8.30 am on January 12.
Notably, low visibility owing to very dense fog brought traffic to a crawl in Khurda, Dhenkanal and Chandbali in Bhadrak district of Odisha, where visibility level was reduced to 20-40 metres, this morning. Thick blanket of fog also engulfed twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, lowering visibility to 50 and 100 metres, respectively.

The MeT office further said that the night temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius at many places in Odisha after 2 days. G Udayagiri in Kandhamal was coldest place in the state at 8.8 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours, followed by Koraput at 9 degree Celsius, Semiliguda in Koraput at 11.1 degree Celsius, Phulbani and Daringbadi, also in Kandhamal, at 11.5 degree Celsius.
