Bhubaneswar: The Met Centre here on Monday warned of dense fog in 18 districts of Odisha on Wednesday.
“As there is enough moisture in the atmosphere, dense fog will occur at a few places in Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak, Balasore, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Puri, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput and Malkangiri districts in the next 48 hours on January 22 and at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Kendrapara, Angul and Gajapati in the subsequent 24 hours on January 23,” the Met Centre said in its morning bulletin.
It also said that night temperature will fall by 1-3 degree Celsius at some places in Odisha for two days on January 22 and 23 (Wednesday and Thursday).
Meanwhile, the night temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was lowest in Malkangiri at 9 degree Celsius followed by Sundargarh (12), Koraput (13), Angul (13.6) and Sonepur (13.8), Daringibadi (14), Titlagarh (14), Talcher (14.3), Phulbani (14.5) and Jharsuguda (14.4).
The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 15.8 and 17.8 degree Celsius, respectively.
