Dense Fog Warning For 9 Districts Till Tomorrow Morning; Night Temp To Rise In Odisha Again
Bhubaneswar: Thick blanket of fog engulfed Paradip in Odisha, restricting visibility to 50 metres, on Wednesday morning. Angul and Puri experienced dense fog while shallow to moderate fog was seen at Kendrapada, according to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.
The weather agency has issued yellow warning of dense fog for one or two places in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Nayagarh district till 8.30 am on Thursday. Light rain/thundershower may also occur at one or two places oin Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore during this period.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is likely to continue one or two places in North Odisha, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur and Boudh districts on Thursday, it said, adding that dry weather may prevail across the state thereafter.
The state is likely to experience slight rise in the night temperature during the next 5 days. The mercury is expected to hover around 20-22 degree Celsius in Bhubaneswar during next seven days. The state capital had recorded minimum temperature of 19.9 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours when Semiliguda in Koraput was the coldest at 9.4 degree Celsius followed by G Udayagiri at 10. 5 degree Celsius and Koraput at 11.6 degree Celsius.
The night temperature is likely to gradually rise to 14 degree Celsius in Koraput and Phulbani, it added.
